Consult

The document should include Reason for vacancy, Job Title, Duties, Background of potential employee, Remuneration Package, Career Progression Opportunities, Interview Dates, Interviewers, Start Date, Unique Selling Point’s of the opportunity and the company, and companies the potential employee should have worked for.
- To gain a more in-depth understanding of the position, Consultive often speak to an employee currently in the capacity (or having recently been in the capacity), and to the applicable line manager the new recruit will report to.
- Consultive will then advise on introduction dates of either a shortlist or Curriculum Vitae’s.
- This is the actual Selection stage, the person may come in different shapes and sizes, which you selected, and we then measure the individual(s) by working through key competencies required.
Search
Data Base and Network Search is based on utilising the in-house tools, industry knowledge and skills possessed by Consultive and its recruiters. With a data base and network facility consisting of up to 3000 suitably qualified individuals in the Building and Civil Engineering fields to approach for the purpose of recruiting for the role or networking for potential candidates.
The full details of how we conduct our search is confidential. However we put our success down to Understanding, Knowledge, Innovation, Initiative and Time.
Recruit
For Consultive’s Search Methodology the recruit process takes in the following:
- Provide Shortlist or Curriculum Vitae’s on the date(s) agreed by both Consultive and the client. This may be in person or via email, depending on client availability (Shortlist is always attempted to be presented in person by Consultive). At this stage Consultive will put forward the motivations of each candidate and make recommendations as to whom to interview.
- Arrange interviews for candidates requested by the client.
- Consultive will consult with the client and candidates as to who moves on to the second interview phase and also undertake any further referencing or researching requested by the client. At this stage Consultive will again put forward motivations (as they may change) and recommendations on whom to second interview.
- Arrange second phase interviews for successful first interview candidates, based on the feedback, referencing and research gathered.
- Psychometric Testing can be undertaken at this point. This is at the client expense, regardless of whether the position is successfully placed by Consultive.
- Consultive advises that we handle the verbal offer of employment, as we believe the rate of success is increased; the potential employee is able to speak frankly and is reminded of the motivations outlined throughout the process.
- Once a start date is set, Consultive will ensure the process between resignations and actual start runs smoothly and that any concerns are addressed appropriately.
- Consultive will undertake any further reference checking requested by the client.
Consult
- Consultive will make contact with new employees on their first day and check that all is well, any problems or issues will be reported back to the Human Resource Department, Line Manager or Director.
- After one month of service Consultive will go on site to meet with the new employee and ensure that they are satisfied and happy with the new role and company. This will be measured by the motivations for originally joining. Consultive will also meet with the Line Manager or Director to ensure that everything is going well and that the new employee is meeting expectation. This is also measured by motivations for recruiting. Consultive will report back to the Human Resource department on the outcome.

Testimonials
Testimonial 1 (Candidate)
I first became aware of Phil Isard's quality of service in Melbourne in 1998 at which time, as a Civil Engineering graduate, he facilitated three interviews with leading construction firms. After deciding on a project management consultancy position, Phil regularly maintained contact to check on progress and notified my move to London.
Having decided to embark on a working holiday in London in 2002, Phil was the first person I contacted and he worked tirelessly to coordinate interviews for my arrival. Wembley Stadium, awarded to Multiplex Constructions, was my main goal for employment. Phil was able to facilitate an interview at Wembley with the Project Director, and then managed to broker a deal for me to commence as a consultant in the short term, via a limited company, before negotiating a 4 year work permit and permanent contract.
I was extremely impressed by Phil's motivation and negotiation skills during our acquaintance, particularly in the UK, where his work ethic and ability to keep me updated with progress stood him above his peers in the recruitment industry. I have no hesitation in recommending him to any job seeker or employer looking for staff."
Dan Scanlon, Project Manager - Multiplex Constructions (UK) Ltd
Testimonial 2 (Client)
As my main point of contact for our recruitment requirements, Phil was always keen to 'get it right' and contacted me regularly to ensure he correctly matched our staff needs. He was always quick to respond and the people he placed were generally of the calibre we expected. Phil also was quick to tell me if he was unable to fill a placement and his integrity was appreciated and encouraged. When Phil changed agencies I kept our business with Phil because with my busy schedule I felt confident leaving my staff requirements with him to sort out, knowing they would be actioned immediately. I would not hesitate to use Phil again for my recruitment needs.
Steve Root, Managing Director - ISG Plc
Testimonial 3 (Candidate)
"I was very impressed with the professional manner in which Phil Isard handled my application and advised me on my options. I was working with a market leading firm within days of making contact. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Phil to anybody seeking employment."
Nick Tolley, Site / Project Manager - Interior Plc & Abigroup Contractors Ltd
Testimonial 4 (Clients)
I am pleased to be able to recommend Phil Isard for recruiting services in the construction industry. During the construction of the Melbourne City Link Project we were required to recruit hundreds of professional staff and used many recruiting consultants. Phil Isard demonstrated a level of enthusiasm and commitment that enabled us to track down some hard to find skills in our candidates and provided us with very capable staff, often at short notice.
Max Binnington, Human Resources Manager - Transfield Obayashi Joint Venture, Constructors of the Melbourne City Link
