Typical we recruit people with business 2 business (B2B) account management or sales experience, though we, of course, will discuss a career opportunity with an experienced recruitment consultant. Regarding bringing people into the business, we have the “resourcer program” that takes people new to the industry through all that they need to know day by day so they can be successful. We had the program since month 7 of existence (it’s pretty well utilised, considering we’ve been around for a decade and half).

Recruitment is a fast moving and rewarding environment; it requires a mix of influencing, selling and tech-savvy abilities to be successful, to some, success further than they thought possible! - That's been the story for Brett, Charles & others in the business

What's special about us? Well firstly we specialise in the built environment, secondly we develop people with no industry experience to be highly successful within 18mths (done many times over in the last 15 years, though we've also had some that don't cut it - that's sales), and thirdly we target candidate for jobs (headhunting and talent tracking - and we're known as the best in our market for this).

What you will initially do (first 2-3mths): 

  • Conduct searches on our database & Online (like finding a pair of unique shoes or jeans with a google search)
  • Approaching candidates with an opportunity (like convincing friends to head out for a night - convert the ones that are sitting on the fence)
  • Interview & background checking candidates (like going on a first date, then checking their online profile - kind of, just a bit more advanced)
  • Track talent for future placements (like keeping an ear out for that hot tip, or when that guy/girl is single and back in the market)

If it's for you, and we like you, you'll then add the following (post 3mths):

  • Identifying & building relationships with clients (like meeting new people and creating win-win friendships)
  • Identify client needs, wants and where the company is going (like what your partner needs and wants from you, and where their life is going), and then working out how to give that to them.

That's a really simple view of a recruiters role.  I will add that it's all about connecting with people online, on the phone and face to face - Communication is key.

The remuneration package is a mix of base salary, commission & super, and will be consistent with someone with 2, 3 or even 4 year of Business 2 Business sales experience - so you need this to start with.  If you're still with us in a year, you will have earned $90k+ (conservatively), and you can hold me to that, second year, your performance should see you earning $150k to $200k in year 2, though, that is reliant on your effort.
